Welcome to my Web site!Building of my Cozy Mark IV #1037. Over the next several / many years I will build before your eyes a masterpiece, and if that is not possible just a good fun safe aircraft. :-) And some other stuff I hope you find fun or useful.... Status: Plans Purchased: 04-2002 Built workshop that year. Started Project 01-2003 Scheduled completion 2013 - 14 Working Status: Currently working Chap-21, 22, 23, 24. Finished Wing / Rudders got them hanging for the rafters above my glass table. Chap-21, 22, 23, 24. It's now impossible to lay on its side. As the build goes forward I will revisit these chapters as required. Currently working on the Chap. 21 Stakes, Fuel & Baggage Chap-17 Building with standard Roll Trim might change Pitch Trim to Alex Strong system. Total hours worked so far. 1455 hours up to chap-21, 22 some of 24 Counting build time only. Problem with your hands / skin when it comes in contact with the epoxy. Will it started with me, at first I had no problems. I was wearing the latex gloves and everything (I thought) was fine. Until one night my hands began to itch and then came the blister. You guest it I've developed a histamine reaction to the epoxy, what to do First I checked the can of epoxy and found that white vinegar stop the chemical reaction, second I switched to Nitrile gloves. To protect my arms I put ply-9 gel on, you can get this from Wicks. So the process is like this: Gel, Gloves when finished wash off the Gel and then put on white vinegar I wet a paper towel, that solved it for me. I hope this helps other builders. Engine Got the engine mount from CG Products Chap. 23 pictures to come I was hopping that Innodyn would make it but it sounds like that will not happen. Looks like Aero Sport will be the engine for me, I like the IO-375B1B 205HP Constant Speed, I will use a MT 3 blade propeller. Yes, I know it's big bucks but 90% of the aircraft is about the power train. We will see when I get there.... Questions or Comments about my Cozy project - E-mail: David & Lynne Barnes Projected finish Date: 2013 I HOPE!!
