Thanks Rick for info I have done some load test on the wings by putting double gross weight in the AC and had no failure, so looks like I may have a keeper.

does anyone know how to test glass for UV deterioration. I have just acquired a Q2 that has been out in the AZ. sun for about 6 years, where the paint has flaked off you can see the fiberglass, which has turned brown. Most of it is cosmetic, but was wanting to know if the spar can be tested to a point before failure, to know if it is structurally safe. any info would help thanks Rebel.

my 1st owned AC is a varieze I had a total of 40 hrs in cessna and a lot of ultralight flying prior to flying my eze with one flight in a long in the back seat. As for as removing the wing and canard it is very simple but difficult by yourself, I made a set of high horses out of wood at just the right height and angle with the wing so I could do it by myself. That gets old real quick. so I had a local upholstery shop make a cover,now I can leave it set up, which makes it easier to go fly, I now have aprox 150 hrs. in the eze, by the way my eze is for sale. I have been using amsoil about 15 years in all my vehicles. my 94 chevy pu has 210k and purrs like a kitten and have never had any engine problems. also use it in my diesel engines also with same results. however I have only used it in the 0-200 for 3 yrs. I got the engine with 40 hrs. SMOH and I have put only 80 hrs on it with the amsoil. Just did annual insp. all cyl. comp. ok and no leaks. I have installed the new style pushrod tubes where I was getting some leakage. I also run it in my lightsport trainer which is a rotax 2 stroke. Have put thousands of hrs. on 2 stroke engines with no carbon build up around the rings. I am no expert but my opinion is amsoil is the best out there. the rebel :)

amsoil series 2000 20w50 is what I use in my 0-200 veze and it does not use oil I have a small leak around the rear crank seal that is very minor. best wear test out there bar none.
